Diana Washington, one of nine athletes from the country's top four women's teams in 2015 and 2016 is now back again in the bronze medal spot. She earned 11 personal bests and an individual gold medal in the 200m dash, 100m hurdles, 1500m, and 4×100m relay. In the 200m dash Washington took the lead and ran 1:11.55, which is her personal best time. She posted the 3rd fastest time in the USA World Games.
In the 5k heather running race Washington was first and fastest overall and was within just one second of the team's 5k times. Also in the 5k heather race he placed 1st out of the entire group.
Other notable performances with her best in the USATF Biathlon World Cup include the two women's high altitude races and the 2018 5k Heather Long Walk. On July 10th, 2016, DianaWashington achieved her greatest high altitude race of her career - the 2018 5k Heather Long Walk. She completed the feat in 3:08:54. It took her not one but two women to cross the entire 55 Mile Trail Trail to the podium.
