Licensing

Source-based licences:

Exceptional/open source, where a licence has not been obtained, Fel library and all its contents, both the fonctionnal, framework and runtime, are under the GFDL. All other licenses are open source. All source based licences require a licence containing at least two text lines showing its use of the OpenAL project and a clear indication of its usage and modification to ensure the freedoms required for making improvements to OpenAL.

All source based licences contain requirements that should be met by any software that incorporates Fel library, be it statically (without dependency towards Fel library). Licences have their own requirements and should be checked against each other by users who know enough about requirements with their licence.

Users wanting to report illegal or imprecise use of their licence should contact the OMA of their licence and provide this information in their comments. It is unlikely that the OMA will inform us about such misuse unless we receive a complaint.
