John Hayt Collegiate Invitational

The Great Southeast Race to the Coralie Islands was held September 22-23, 2014, hosted by the University of South Florida in Lakeland Florida.

The course selected was a 5,965 yard (3,029 km) off-road course. The total length included an uphill section only covering 4,920 yards (2,598 km). The most prominent feature of the course were the multiple rock islands which were split into numerous districts on the way.

There was no wind and only 6 breakers. The roads were unpaved. The sun was out with temperatures around 75 °F.

The storm front had passed without any significant effects on the event. The organizers made it a contest for the competitors.

Bluebonnet, the most experienced racer from the Caribbean, took the lead over his fellow athlete Manuel Bautista of Panama City, Panama. The race was won by Bautista, who would break the course record again in his next appearance.
