William Theodore Forrester, Sr., late of Jefferson and Stenton, Iowa, son of William Theodore Forrester, and Mollie Lillian Rood, died shortly after midnight of a Saturday afternoon at the St. Louis General Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was a son of the late R. W. Forrester and Annie (Southwick) Forrester, born in Madison, Wisconsin, and a resident of Madison, St. Louis County, Iowa.
He was married to Ada Margaret Turner, of Des Moines, Iowa and a member of the Church of the Heavenly Rest, LaSalle, Missouri.
There is no interment.
He leaves his children Annie (Wilson) Forrester, Katherine Jane Forrester and Edith Mae Forrester.
Funeral services were conducted from the St. John the Baptist Church of Jefferson, St. Louis, Missouri. Rev. Al M. Schultz, pastor, delivered the Reverend's message. A sermon was also preached at the funeral home and residence, St. John the Baptist Church, by Rev. W. L. H. Smith, officiating.
He received his religious training in the Presbyterian Church of the City of Madison, Wis., and was a member of the Methodist Church, Madison, Wisconsin.
He was a member of the American Legion, Madison, Wisconsin, and was president of the Madison Old People's Association.
The family will be received by the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway Station at Madison, near St. Louis, Missouri, Saturday, November 3, 1929, and he will be laid to rest.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church, or his son, Rev. Edward A. Forrester, will be honored in the St. John Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri.
