The Devils Tramping Ground Movie

“You may laugh, but that is the worst I can do.”

I thought that was pretty much the end of the movie.

It seemed that the video game characters were a big part of the plot, and some of the more popular features were the “New Jersey Devil Curse” and the entire Pit Stop movie, but the high school I went to in grade eleven was not what I wanted to see. So, the scene I experienced that we all went through is probably the most memorable to everyone that saw it: The Pit Stop. The scene included 4 teenagers (average age 13) who used to travel to New Jersey, all with the intention of meeting up with their friends, only to run into their old high school friends after a few days. A lot of the film is all about the characters who traveled back to New Jersey, and as you have read so far, this does not end well.

Many college students may not be aware of this, and for that reason we decided to offer a quick overview of some of my take-aways from the film when we run through the opening and its subsequent plot twists.

The Opening and Moving Forward

The opening and ending of The Pit Stop take place over a couple of days, which is very much like a movie. The characters travel to New Jersey in order to spend a few days at their aunt’s New Jersey home and fall in love with their high school friends. In the beginning of the film, the two individuals leave a message on the mirror of one of their respective homes, telling the girls that they do not have any one else coming. They leave an hour before their last day in New Jersey, with one of their mother’s acquaintances traveling that morning to meet them. Obviously, a couple of items in the movie take place such as their parents arriving and the arrival of their aunt, but the main plot line of the movie comes with the initial separation of their high school friends, a separation that is only at the opening “hook” of the movie.

What is exciting about The Pit Stop is seeing their interactions and impressions after just one day. The first scene they see each other is when one of their school friends is making a meal in one of their aunt’s home.
