Theodore Dudzinski

Teddy Dudzinski, Jr. (born September 30, 1938) is an American professor of Finance at the University of Louisville. He is the founder and editor of the magazine Forbes, and is also a co-owner of an investment bank, American Commercial Credit Corp. and a real estate investment trust, Zoltan Dudzinski. He is a former Fellow of the U.S. Government Institute for Economic and Social Policy. Dudzinski graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in 1961, Princeton University (BA 1962) and Wesleyan University (MA 1967), and from the Columbia Graduate School of Business (MA 1969) the latter doing the first graduate course in international finance ever offered at Columbia. He served on the faculties of the University of California, Los Angeles, Columbia University and the University of South Carolina before joining the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He is an elected member of the Financial Analysts Council. Dudzinski is active in business development as an adviser for American Brands Holdings and the Association of Investment Bankers.

Education

Dudzinski began his undergraduate studies at Harvard University in 1961. In 1962, he obtained a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

His thesis, "The Statistical Analysis of Mature Real Returns from a Random-Walk Market", was completed in 1965, and his dissertation, "The Cost of Naming Contagious Factors and the Market Effect" was published in 1966.

Contributions
In 1965, Dudzinski co-founded with David Cayzer and Norman Wolbrecht the magazine, Forbes.
